Final seminar of EUFRANET
Paris 15 May 2001
The final seminar of EUFRANET will take place in Paris 15 May 2001. The results from the project will be presented and there will be a general discussion on priorities for freight transport in rail networks and presentation of different national experiences.
The draft agenda is the following:
1. Introduction (DG TREN)
2. Main results of EUFRANET
- demand model and traffic forecasting (BVU)
- supply model and traffic assignment (IVE)
- concept of dedicated freight network and evaluation of strategies (INRETS)
3. national experiences for network operations and perspectives
- German experience (DB)
- French experience (SNCF)
- Swedish experience (SJ)
4. Presentation of RAILSERV: Thematic Network on new Rail Services (VTT)
5. Discussion
