Clustering of experts
One of the main activities within EUTP is the clustering of topics related to intermodal freight transfer points. The EUTP consortium organises meetings with European experts to discuss future policy and research priorities within predefined clusters.

The next clustering meeting will take place in Rotterdam 12th December 2002, from 10.00 to 16.00, in connection with the Intermodal Transport & Logistics Conference.

New and updated Member State Reports

One of the objectives of the EUTP projects is to collect information on national intermodal research with a special focus on the transfer points, and to disseminate the results through the EUTP website. The following country reports are available: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, The Republic of Slovenia and United Kingdom.

Inventory on the State of the Art (EUTP D2.1)

The collected information on policy initiatives and European RTD is presented in this report. Best practice examples are presented and relations are established between national and European research programmes. One of the aims is to identify gaps in current research and propose topics for future research. Furthermore, this deliverable briefly identifies problems within the intermodal industry and in particular within the terminals.

State of the Art of Conventional and Innovative Technologies in Intermodal Transport (ITIP D1)

The ITIP project aims to analyse the development and integration of new technologies for the improvement of intermodal transport operations. Innovative transhipment techniques and the impact on interoperability for transport means and equipment is the priority area. This report provides a State of the Art and assessment of conventional and innovative techniques in inter-modal transport.

This is about it from us at this time. Hope to see you at Intermodal 2002 event in Rotterdam.

Best regards
